London creative design consultants Schulze & Webb wanted to explore the best way to visually navigate through dense cities.
What they came up with is now called “Here & There,” and it lets you simultaneously and seamlessly view a city from the point of view where your are standing and from a bird’s eye view in the sky.
Why? “Because the ability to be in a city and to see through it is a superpower, and it’s how maps should work.”
A combination of live action and animation. A globe in a classroom was shot on 16mm which was then tracked and populated with cg toy-like clouds, cars, planes, and cities.
Next up in the excellent series of Glug London nights is this little cracker…
For this event they’ve hired the very cool Queen of Hoxton, roof terrace and basement. The event will start from 6pm upstairs on the roof with a free BBQ (and paid bar).
From 8pm (hopefully just before the sun sets on London town) we’ll move down to the basement where Dan, Ian, Matt and Scam from Glue London will be putting together a short talk and run through of recent work. They’ll also be holding some mini workshops.
Unfortunately due to capacity they can only allow 350 to this event so please get your rsvp’s in quick via www.meetup.com/gluglondon.
It’s gonna be a cracker.. so get registered and get down there..!!
I’ve been trying to get my hands on a fresh copy of Technodubfest for ages. Luckily I saw Charlie again recently and promptly stole a copy and this and Spooky “Gargantuan”. Result.
This CD was put out to promote the release of Sasha “Airdrawndagger”; which Charlie and Junkie XL worked on.
Tom (Junkie XL) never managed to work on Technodubfest. He went stellar almost overnight with his Elvis remix “A Little Less Conversation”. They agreed to keep the name the CD because of the sudden surge in publicity around him.
Charlie has just released a new EP on La Tour called – Not My Cat
If you like your music with a electronic dubby vibe – give this a go.
