Love this campaign site SVT – a Swedish TV iPhone app.
Everything on a single page – campaign idea, open letter to steve job, video product demo, selection of screenshots, pre-filled twitter message and feed, twingly and facebook feeds, live video streaming from Apple HQ (I’m assuming it’s spoofed), click “Ya” to announce approval if you’re Steve Jobs, “Ya” ticker and Youtube webcam “Ya” uploads.
Sounds like a lot but it works really well for this.
The kicker is that it turns out that the approval campaign is a PR stunt – the app was only submitted the day before it all broke. Not many people will know that. But Apple will.
Wonder if SVT might find themselves having a few ‘approval difficulties’ for this one.
Update: Apple has just released the following statement:
The SVT app was just submitted for App Store approval today. We look forward to reviewing it as part of the normal review process in hopes that it may soon join the more than 100,000 apps already on the App Store.”

We’ve partnered with Titan Outdoor so all your festive wishes are being showing live in Liverpool Street station. There’s also some festive tracking on the site for things like Reindeer, Turkey, Family and other Christmas fun.
The project kicks-off on the 22nd December and finishes on the 25th Dec to match the chronology of the film. It will be performed in realtime using Central Standard Time – as that’s the timezone in Illinois.

I don’t know exactly when it happened but it’s just dawned on me. I’m sat here doing a bit of work using Google Docs, working/sharing files with Dropbox. I’ve started using the Cloud.
I don’t use Docs for work yet, but for personal stuff it’s great.
I all over it for Docs and Spreadsheets but avoid the Powerpoint / Keynote side – its not feature rich enough yet.
Dropbox has become an installation essential for me. Bascially it’s what .Mac should have been. The big difference is that you get a folder on your local drive which is kept in sync with the cloud – meaning you have online/offline access to all the files.
It can also ACTUALLY handle large files (which .Mac is absolutely shambolic at), it gives you progress feedback, and doesn’t cause your machine to freeze up. Love it.
There’s also a web interface too which is dead easy to use.
“The Particle” is a kinetic sculpture that experiments with color, sound and movement.
A sensor monitoring system analyzes the users movements in the exhibition space. Around the space occupied by the sculpture defines a surround sound system that reacts and becomes one with the movement and light.
I used to spend a lot of time looking at PostSecret – it’s hard not to love it if you’re into people. Like a few sites where people reveal things about themselves they’ve just released a book and a short film to promote it.
The moment where the couple tell the cat and books story is brilliant.
