An experimental film in tribute to Ridley Scott’s film Blade Runner, made as a unique picture with a resolution of 60.000 x 60.000 pixels (3.6 gigapixels) using 167,819 frames from the 1982 classic.

Remember there’s no trick printing, no CGI, and no complex mechanical effects. Try and figure out how it’s all done. I’m bamboozled. It you want to see more then the films is on YouTube.

Anyone remember seeing Joaquin Phoenix have an apparent meltdown on The Late Show with David Letterman in 2009. If you haven’t take a quick look at it. It’s properly out there..

Turns out it might’ve been “method acting to the extreme” following the release of this trailer for a film following his Hip-Hop career.

Wow. I was pretty creeped out watching this sequence again. I don’t think I’ve really took it all in when I was a kid.
Reinhardt ends up trapped and enslaved inside the robot he created. Powerless and immobile. Maximilian with his limbs extended looks like a horned devil figure stood upon the mountain. Surrounded by skeletons wearing black hooded capes as the crew ascend through a corridor of light.
Classic Christian imagery, plus a fantastic music score from John Barry.
Powerful stuff from Disney.

Interesting film about intellectual property and remix culture.
“Walking on Eggshells” is a 24-minute documentary about appropriation, creative influence, re-use and intellectual property in the remix age.
