Vitro conceived this video wall as part of its campaign for the New York City Marathon.
It shows long distance runner Ryan Hall running at marathon speed across a tunnel in NYC’s Columbus Circle subway station – and challenges the public to keep up.
One of the things he’s interested in is how advertising impacts the urban environment. And advertising as something that can calming and restful instead of fast cut and frenetic. (I’ve shorten and paraphrased him really badly here – sorry Adam).
It’s a really interesting field – so I like this sort of work.
Hand From Above is an interactive installation by Chris O’Shea. He was commissioned by Abandon Normal Devices and Liverpool City Council for BBC Big Screen Liverpool and the Live Sites Network to create something for the BBC Big Screen. Hand From Above interacts with unsuspecting pedestrians, it can tickle, stretch, flick or remove entirely them on the big screen.
