When he sees potential enemies, he transforms into one of two battle modes.

In the first, he puffs himself up, bugs out his eyes, and squats like some kind of battle tank.

But when he’s facing a really big foe, he stands up straight, squints his eyes, and brings one wing around him like Dracula’s cape.

Trust me, you’ll say “Whoa.”

Filmed in a two story warehouse, in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. The “machine” was designed and built by the band, along with members of Synn Labs over the course of several months.

This is the Rube Goldberg machine version. In other words, a video depicting complex devices that perform simple tasks in indirect, convoluted ways.

Currently at 679 views. Expect a jump soon.

All videos are served in H.264 goodness. I like the little touches, like the fact Vimeo removes the Safari “browser” shell. You’ll have to see what I mean for yourself.

The choice of H.264 encoding is significant because it means another prominent site is making video available in a non-Flash format. In a similar vein Vimeo also launched a beta of their new HTML5 player, and Google is now testing an HTML5 version of YouTube.
